agreed with the Paalaa Kai, just on the strength of the puffys.

for dessert, have you tried the fried haupia at Kochi’s? maybe it was the nice buzz I had going on, but that dessert was unreal.

For laulau I actually love the one from Marujyu market on Moanalua Rd. across from Waimalu Elem. School. Big and tasty! I guess it wouldn’t be called ramen, but Palace Saimin on N. King Street is awesome. Very simple, clean tasting dashi, but so good. I also love the restaurant at Mililani Golf Course. I think it is Alonzo’s. The sizzling hamburger steak is the best! And I’m not sure how Kamehameha Bakery didn’t make the list. Bale and Regal are good, but seriously! Kamehameha Bakery has the best glazed doughnuts on the island and their poi dounts rock!

Oh, and you’re right about Kamehameha Bakery. I forgot to add that to my list. I love that place!

Morning Glass for best coffee. It has been the year of the pop-up and it would have been cool to have a best pop-up category.
