Hello Cat, that’s what vacations are all about, eating and eating more…enjoy your vacation!

True that. But today is going to be all about work. Sigh. Fun is (kinda) over. 🙂

great fuud pics. was the salumi made in house? I’m kinda 🙁 that the bread was flown in from 10K miles away, though. what would it cost to build a brick oven and hire a breadmaker? did you eat the crust? shame to waste it on such a nice looking loaf.

I know, I thought that was weird, too. I mean, there are so many great bakeries on the island. Oh, well.

Cat: Damn! Some of the best stuff in the islands! And I’ve never been to Maui. *pouty face* It’s just a quick plane ride over so I don’t know why? Even for a day.

I love the laid back feel of your whole trip. We’re laid back here on Oahu, but the outer islands are way laid back! Gotta love it.

Haha! “agressive ping pong” Is that what you call it?

I’ve been overindulging on food and in need of some agressive ping pong too!

You’ve never been? Get over here! I love Maui. Lots to do, but still only a fraction of the people on Oahu. Meaning, more parking spaces and less traffic. 🙂

Looks good Cat…and that Derek is never short on words. LOL! 😉 Have fun on Maui. Was just there last week and had a great time.

Poor Derek — he has to just tag along with me on these adventures. Good thing he’s game! And hungry all the time!

Cat, I don’t know if you still can, but we stayed there once and they have bikes you can ride around. We rode into Kihei and back. Upon arrival, they were waiting for us with cold, damp towels and chilled, bottled water! They know how to treat you right there for sure!

We went for the Pearl Jam concert in ’98. Since there were almost no hotels on Maui, only the ritzy places had rooms (which is why we chose the 4S). What was cool is that when we checked in, they saw we were kama’aina, and upgraded us for free to a sick, ground-floor (with sliding doors to exterior lawn) suite.

    Have fun!

What a great idea! I’ll inquire! Too bad we’re not staying longer. I’m working all day today and we leave for Kona on Saturday. Otherwise, biking sounds good — and probably something I should do after eating all that food!

Awesome vid production. Got really hungry seeing the noodles. Enjoy the Four Seasons. Once every 10 years or so, I get to stay at a really nice place like that, and they are the most memorable places I have stayed.

I wish I could hang out on the property more. We’re always go go go!

You have to call the dry noodles at Sam Sato what the Mauian’s call it….dry mein. My usual order when I visit: large dry, no sprouts, extra soup.

Plus, gotta have the fries with the mustard/mayo!

Any celebs at four seasons? I’ve seen Arnold S. and family there (prior to ilegitimate kid!), Eddie Murphy, John Elway and Mike Shanahan. Oh yeah, also DB Sweeney.

I know, dry mein, but I went with what the menu said. Dry noodles. I was surprised, too! And no, no celebrity sightings, though I’m not on the property long enough everyday to notice! (Unless they’re playing ping pong!)
