Ask a local about empanadas, you can usually find a family that has a restaurant in their house that will serve them up for cheap. Did this once and the food was so good it became a favorite stop. It usually takes a couple of days for the storm effects to die down and the surf to return to normal. Good luck with that! Also, be careful with some of the tropical fruits. a lot of them taste awesome and you find yourself eating a lot of them. Then you find out they make the ‘prune effect’ look like child’s play. Forget what the smaller red fruit is called but it is potent.

Thanks for the warning about local fruit — though we’ve been eating a ton of them. Yikes!

CAT: I think the reason why the dog followed you is because it smelled “dog people” on you. The scent of your dogs lingers on clothing and stuff.
