Here's the prix fixe menu for Chef Mavro's Greatest Hits. And yes, it's a lot of food!

There’s a reason why it’s called the “Greatest Hits” menu.

The summer prix fixe offering at Chef Mavro features some of chef/owner George Mavrothalassitis’ most popular dishes.

And, to be honest, some of my favorites, too.

Like the Hawaiian salt-crusted onaga (longtail snapper) with a tomato-oho-fines herbes sauce. Or the goat cheese ice cream with chef’s “minute” strawberry and rhubarb jam.

We got a chance to check out the popular menu last night — it’s available through Sept. 29 — before Chef Mavro unveils his fall dinner menu. (See gallery above.)

Here’s the video of our meal last night.

Chef Mavro’s Greatest Hits menu through Sept. 29. Chef Mavro, 1969 South King St. Phone: (808) 944-4714.

Hey Cat: … wow, an interesting menu … but I have to admit, I’d have trouble with the squab too … only because growing up I used to raise and train pigeons … countless hours with them … it was my escape from the world back then …

… I know that they’re also bred for the table … but still …

… and damn!!! … 3 1/2 hours!!! … of eating??? … or for the drinking fest after the meal??? … haha!!! …

Squab just isn’t my thing… I can’t get into it. I’m sure it was prepared perfectly. I just can’t eat it. :/

Thank you for being my date! I’m glad your poke photo came out, because none of mine did! I can’t believe I’ve never had the salt-crusted onaga…..that was the best.

Fine dining! It’s a must for older clientele with limited food intake like me. Never been there but something to try in the future. Thanks Cat!

Definitely something to try. It’s an experience!

If Melissa drank only the one glass… does that mean cat drank the rest? I’m betting yes LOL.

      Hmm. I won’t say.
