I knew I should have stayed on the elliptical a little longer.
I had a hunch — knowing I was meeting up with a few other people yesterday, all from Oahu and all who love food as much as me — that we’d be eating for a good part of the day.
And we did.
We started with breakfast — if you can call it that — at T. Komoda Bakery in Makawao on the slopes of Haleakala and ended at the 30th annual Kapalua Wine & Food Festival at the snazzy Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
It was a long day of eating, but hey, somebody has to do it.

Looks like one of those days where you should just have them bring the food to the elliptical. You’d likely wind up with a calorie surplus anyway from the looks of it.
I felt pretty sick at the end of this day… My bum ankle isn’t helping, either. All I could do was walk, elliptical and swim. Not enough to burn those calories!
Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, world-class wines, desserts beyond the imagination? – my jealousy is entirely transparent.
You know, the accommodations were amazing, I won’t lie. But I never spend enough time at the hotel/resort to make the most of it. Wish I did, though. Our room was crazy big!

Yep, it’s work. (smile) And my sister dogsat for us. She wound up buying liquor. LOL. I think the dogs drove her to the bottle!
