      I’m sure you could buy some of those jars. I doubt the Li family needs them anymore!

    It doesn’t appear in any of his books, and the attribution is disputed. He said some profound things during interviews, but this doesn’t originate with a specific interview. It is often attributed to dr Seuss, as I prefer to do, but it may more accurately be identified as an anonymous proverb. Gabriel Garcia Marquez included it in his “13 Lines to Live Your Life By” (13 Lineas Para Vivir), without claiming it as his own or attributing it. In Spanish as Marquez wrote it, it is: “No llores porque ya se termino. Sonrie porque sucedio.” Most of Marquez’s 13 lines are about love, and they are a wonderful collection.
