Good night, Steve Jobs

By Catherine Toth Fox • October 5, 2011 • Musings, The Daily Dish

The world lost a visionary yesterday, a pioneer, someone who led a cultural revolution all with the lower-case letter “i.” Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, died of complications from pancreatic cancer. He was just 56.

Like Aloha Bruce said on Twitter: “If there is a heaven, Steve Jobs is revolutionizing it.”

Well said.

I came across this quote just yesterday, and randomly at that, and today it all makes sense…

    R.I.P. Steve Jobs

“Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drown your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

Nice. I’m actually blogging about something he said in a commencement speech in 2005. It really moved me. Thanks for sharing this one, too.

Oh Cat, you know the quote I posted above was actually the very ending of his Stanford 2005 speech. …and what a speech that was!

Even though we were all expecting his death, it is still incredibly shocking.
