A few years ago, I went to buy a new bra and was horrified to discover that I had dropped an entire cup size.
A whole cup size! And it’s not like I had enough to spare!
It happens to women, that our breasts can, well, shrink. And it’s not something we look forward to.
But thankfully there’s growing pride in small breasts.
A new blog, Small Bust Big Heart written by woman proud of her 32AA, is a testament to this new-found pride in compact boobs.
And there are more lingerie companies catering to the small-breasted customer, even developing entire lines for AAA- to A-cup sizes. Take Lula Lu, a lingerie Web site and boutique in San Mateo, Calif. Its owner, Ellen Shing, told the New York Times that most of her customers are “happy with their bodies.”
“It’s a misconception still that you want to be bigger if you’re smaller,” she said. (She wears a 36AA.)
While Hollywood has long been blamed for promoting the super-size breasts, there are more and more celebrities — Kiera Knightley, Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Natalie Portman, Ellen Pompeo, Cameron Diaz, Katie Holmes — who are small and proud.
So what do you think about small boobs? Underrated? Or is bigger still better?

CAT,
Aaaiiiyyyaaahhh! Fuud Pix! Tenks! Oooppps! wrong post….!?? It is not a quan-titty thing but a quali-titty thing! Ask any unweaned child. Lots of times size is determined by the pill or pregnancy.
@Annoddah_Dave — hahahahahaha! Very funny!
Hello Cat!
Doesn’t exercise make your boobies shrink? Isn’t it just fatty tissue?
As far as size goes, the bigger the better, but I’ll take whatever I can get. 🙂
@M Actually, when I start surfing regularly — I’m talking at least five days a week — that’s when I noticed my chest flatten out. Bummer, but I’m not giving up surfing to have bigger boobs. 🙂
It’s really about confidence. If you are confident in yourself, then the size shouldn’t matter. I have had women friends on the small size who are fine with what they have.
Cat, don’t worry about it, you are not flat, but just right! 🙂
As far as I am concerned bigger was never better … it was just, well, bigger. Every now and then my wife who wasn’t huge would say, “Maybe I should get my ‘chichis’ fixed.” Never hesitated in my reply, “Don’t you dare.” If you want to see the negative effects of ‘enhancement’ just watch any of the “Real Housewives of …” shows. I mean yeah, they rake in $$$$ but would anyone possibly want to be as vapid as any of those women. Thankfully, I don’t even remember most of their names.
No worries Cat, photos you’ve posted of yourself, you are perfect. Minor correction on the Tina Fey photo you put up. Tina is definately not small breasted. Ample cleavage is displayed every episode of 30 rock.

As much as I would like to think that I have none, I can’t deny that there is a pecking order in the list of attributes that apply to women… and for me, chest size is nowhere near the top. I much prefer an athletic body type, small boobs and all… 😉
…oh, and confidence in oneself, if strong enough, can almost manifest itself into the physical realm.
IMHO the real estate between a women’s ears is way more important than the real estate on a woman’s chest… and to think some women pay extra for artificial turf.
And by the way Cat missed the comment total by about 70-80… thought everyone would have an opinion about boobs… men and women sure talk about them a lot.
@dbjack I think the holiday hurt my chances of a 100-plus comment blog.
@Cat I agree… people were busy out looking at rather than blogging about them 🙂 Shame on me already.
Natural, not artificial! The more you train and exercise, the more energy the body needs to burn for energy. Carbs first, body fat second.
Akin to a guy getting a toupee. One day hair deprived, the next day “What is that on your head? A rat?.
heh interesting post, and I like the photo gallery touch at the end. I’m still trying to figure out if I’m a boob or a butt guy… I find it hard to descriminate. Echoing lots of the posts below, I’d take an intelligent, humorous flat-chested woman over a stupid, lame one with huge knockers. I have a feeling this comment section will grow as peeps go back to work tomorrow… 🙂
@johngarcia I think you already know but you’re not telling us if you a B or B guy!
size doesn’t matter: i considered the woman and not just the size of her breast.
I’d LOVE to be a member of the Itty Bitty Titty Club. I’m a plus-sized woman and any confidence I exude scares men away. Men don’t seem to care if a woman is flat-chested or big-boobed, as long as she’s not plus-size. Then it doesn’t matter how smart you are, how funny you are, how fun you are to be around all the time: You will ALWAYS just be “His Friend.” Ask me how I know … And no sense in directing me to “Chubby Chasers” who love women just because they are fat. Those guys scare the crap out of me. I want a man to love me for my sense of humor, my intelligence, and my personality. So if you know of anyone, send him my way!

Well I for one don’t want this topic to die so when I saw this something screamed POST IT: https://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/showbiz/2010/09/14/sbt.ample.assets.career.hln?hpt=C2
Notice even the folks at CNN titled it ample assets career.
I am still thinking people are too chicken to really discuss this topic.
