#VegasGirls: 4:10 to Vegas

After 11 hours — waiting at gates, waiting on the plane, waiting on line — we got booked on United Airlines’ 4:10 to Vegas flight.

This hasn’t been a good start to our Vegas getaway.

First, one of my girlfriends almost had to check in her carryon bag because the flight was full and storage space tight. Then, I got asked to change seats twice. Then, another friend was moved, too. One iPhone crapped out, my laptop bag broke — and lunch at the airport cost $15.

This isn’t good.

But we’ve got reserved seats on the next direct flight to Vegas, we’re eating, there’s hope.

We’re all pulling the lever on the nearest Megabucks machine when we land. The Universe owes.

Sounds like you will land in time to get back on a plane to go back to HNL.

Hopefully you will hit the mega bucks to make up for the bad start of your trip.

Good luck! If there was a more awful way to start your vacation I don’t know what it would be!

Ah yes the joys of flying. ALways my favorite part. I especially like the part where you land at one airport and wait for 4 hours then catch another plane to save $5.

Good luck finding a Megabucks machine. Last time I was there I had to search the bowels of the casino to find one set of machines.

forget megabucks. triple diamond at the airport as soon as you walk off the plane

Unfortunately these things happen and as much as we would like to be angry at someone it really isn’t like it is happening on purpose. Relax, take a breath (while you can – Vegas is still smoky) and just think of all of the good Kharma you are building up for the weekend by being calm and treating the situation with Aloha.

If you folks are still out there Sunday maybe I’ll see you around!

At least you got a direct flight…better than having to change planes or stop over somewhere. When you arrive, have your money ready and find that one machine that calls out to you. Be sure to play the max amount. I hope it pays you well!! Weather will be nice this weekend for your visit…plenty of sunshine and 90+ degrees. At least it’s under 100 degrees. LOL

    Have a safe flight!!

The universe repays in mysterious ways, you’ll see! Good luck in Vegas!

Just looked at the pic again. I see you found the wolfgang puck joint. Decent airport food, and the best in the UAL terminal at lax.

As I often said to myself when I worked for the airline: would you rather have a mx (mechanical) delay or fly a trip on equipment that needs mx?

There’s no dignity in flying anymore. Whether there’s any dignity in Vegas is entirely up to you – fun either way.
