funny when I saw this… I actually thought you were in california! this can actually be found outside of Hawai’i…. in a restaurant that was actually originally in Hawai’i. Kings Hawaiian Restaurant and Bakery in Torrance, CA carries a Hawaiian Paradise Cake with the different tiers (guava, passion, and lime), minus the chocolate (b/c they have the Dream, which is chocolate chiffon). I actually really love King’s Hawaiian Restaurant and wish they could make an outpost here in the Bay Area.

I used to go to the King’s Bakery cafe when it was here on Oahu; never been to the one in California. Boy do I miss the sweet bread French toast!
Boy, it did taste oh-so good! Too bad there was no pumpkin pie! Haha. Congrats on your students’ award. I will see you around!
I don’t think there was ever any pumpkin pie… I think Jay was hallucinating!
i have nothing interesting to say…….except, ….get me a fork & pass a slice, stat!
Where can I buy this chiffon cake or is it home made?
You can get a similar cake from Dee Lite Bakery in Kalihi. This one was from Pagoda Floating Restaurant near Ala Moana Center.
I WISH I could make this myself! There must be a recipe somewhere……..
