House of Marley Zion Earphones

Price: $99 at local surf shops or online at www.thehouseofmarley.com

The gist: Rohan Marley, son of the legendary Bob Marley, has developed a new line of ear buds, headphones and docking stations combining eco-friendly materials and top-notch music technology. The purpose of The House of Marley is to share music through high-quality products that are affordable and earth-friendly. And these earphones are the real deal, with an in-ear design for deep bass and a frequency response of 10Hz to 22kHz for authentic sound. (There are cheaper earphones available.)

Best for: Music lovers, eco-conscious friends — or both!
