You can’t have too many burger joints.
Especially of these eateries feature 100 percent grass-fed Big Island beef, local produce and milkshakes so thick you’ll hyperventilate trying to drink them.
That’s on the menu at Papa’s Burgers, a new family-owned burger spot in Market City Shopping Center, about a mile from the University of Hawaii-Manoa campus. It opened about four weeks ago to mostly rave reviews, and I wanted to check it out myself.
The menu is small but eclectic. It features eight signature burgers — bibimbap burger, pork and shrimp burger, black bean veggie burger — and a few sides. Some standouts include the freshly cut fries (made from whole potatoes) and the real ice cream shakes.
Here’s what my recent visit looked like:

The Travel Hammock from Jams World
Price: $54.99 from Surf Line Hawaii (www.surflinehawaii.com)
The gist: Sometimes you wish you had a hammock. Well, Jams World is bringing back its signature travel hammock, sold only at the newly open Surf Line Hawaii in Kalihi. It's made of strong, quick-drying parachute nylon silk — mildew-resistant and anti-rot — and comes with stainless steel S hooks for easy hanging. And it supposedly can hold up to 400 pounds. (But we didn't test it.)
Best for: Travelers, nappers, anyone who just bought a house with a backyard.

where’s the beef? can never get enough pics of huge whopper-like burgers with grill marks and onions! Nice clean kitchen! Never get tired of seeing those either…
Yes, the place was immaculate! You could eat off the table tops!

I went to Gina’s a few weeks ago and looked at the menu at Papa’s burgers but Gina’s was calling me so I went there instead. More for your money at Gina’s.
