For years, I would pass a little restaurant on Pumehana Street in McCully and promise myself to eat there one day.
Then it was gone.
Good thing for me, the restaurant reopened nearby, right across the street from Longs Drugs in Moiliili.
Da Spot was back.
That was 2011. Fast-forward two years and the eatery, run by Ahmad and Ako Ramadan, is still going strong, with live music, lots of open seating and the same spicy global cuisine I’ve come to love.
Its menu reads like a foodie’s dream: moussaka, lamb curry, stuffed grape leaves, baklava, Thai basil veggies, and fool moudamas. Then there’s the 34 different smoothies.
I never get bored here. And trust me, you won’t, either.
Here’s what I had one recent evening:

I absolutely love photo 7, I would need a plate about twice that big to fill up but man that looks good.
Oh, I forgot to mention — these were MINI PLATES!
Sigh of relief!
CAT: Aaaiiiyyyaaahhh! Fuud Pix! Tenks! As advertised, tasty and reasonable. The biggest complaint is finding a parking “Spot”. Street parking is tough in that area. Soon Longs will clamp down on illegals maybe “boot” them!?
To be honest, I park at Longs. I go in and buy something, of course, then jet across the street! 🙂
Hello Cat!
Fuud pixs Friday!
I pass by this place all the time and every time I say to myself, I got to stop and check it out.
You should!
